The ASISA Foundation LEAGO programme supports underserved South African students in the scarce-skills fields of actuarial science and information and communications technology, so that they can complete their studies and enter the professions that need them.

Promoting sustainable development

The LEAGO programme supports the South African National Development Plan clusters of education, economic, equality, environment and partnerships. While the ASISA Foundation supports nine of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. LEAGO in particular advances five of the SDGs.

Financial education that drives change

Over the last ten years WageWise has reached 102 665 people across all nine provinces. Participants align with the Financial Sector Code requirements and to-date 99% of employees who are engaged are black and 64% are female, ensuring that important educational content is reaching the most marginalised people in South Africa.
