Promoting sustainable development

The Alumni programme supports the South African National Development Plan clusters of education, economic, equality, environment and partnerships. While the ASISA Foundation supports nine of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Alumni in particular advances five of the SDGs.

Since its 2015 launch, WageWise has trained over 100 000 employees across South Africa, delivering a proven financial literacy programme informed by robust monitoring and evaluation insights.

Financial education that drives change

Over the last ten years WageWise has reached 102 665 people across all nine provinces. Participants align with the Financial Sector Code requirements and to-date 99% of employees who are engaged are black and 64% are female, ensuring that important educational content is reaching the most marginalised people in South Africa.
